30 Sep Shipped Out: A Fluid Milestone!
Today is a very exciting day at Fluid MotorUnion. After the other fun stuff to happen to us this week (getting the feature in European Car and having our minds blown by Burroughs’ wicked E28), we managed to hit a milestone! Today marks the first time that Fluid MotorUnion has sold and shipped a custom-fabricated part.
The item in question, which we’ve showcased before with various charts, graphs and scientific chit-chat, is the C63 oil cooler. Boasting great gains over stock, it’s definitely a part for the enthusiast who likes to keep things cool. Given our results with the oil cooler, we sent it to one of the most respected Mercedes technicians in the country — Bruce of Tuning Technology Motorsports (more commonly known as TTMotorsports). His track record with both excellent customer service and outstanding work on Mercedes vehicles is all over the internet, and he showed a definite interest in our oil cooler. He’ll continue the testing for us on both a C63 and a CLS63, further expanding the possible applications (if you remember, we did our charts-and-graphs testing on a CLK63).
We’re really excited to hand off the cooler to somebody as well respected and revered as Bruce. Hopefully, if everything works out exactly as we hope, we can begin manufacturing and selling more of these coolers. For now, though, we’re remaining optimistic.
Since no blog post should be without pictures, we snapped a couple of the oil cooler in its temporary home, awaiting the long journey to the East Coast. We went with good-ol’ classic brown for this box, but we’re looking to get some black, Fluid-branded boxes once we start shipping things en masse:
