Tuesday

Tuesday

Sometimes it’s not the middle of the week that seems the longest — it’s the day before the middle of the week. Today…is Tuesday. But you probably knew that already.

A couple different things are happening at the shop, so let’s clue you into them, shall we? First, at the end of last week, the coated downpipes arrived back at Fluid from our friends at Swain Tech, and as you could expect, they look fantastic. They’re already bolted back in while the intercooler piping is getting its finalization, then it’s the exhaust (a favorite activity of ours!) and the tune. After that, it’ll be a 400 whp grocery-getter. And there’s nothing more vindicating than smoking some unassuming tosser in the car next to you. These pipes will definitely help with that, as unwanted heat entering the charge piping is nothing but trouble.

We also needed to move the battery to keep the space in the engine bay to a maximum, so we snagged up a quick battery hideaway for the Optima Red Top, which will definitely be getting its workout as the Explorer tears its way down the streets of the Chicagoland area.

Finally, here’s a quick gratuitous shot of the interior of the Raging Bull Marketing SEMA/Time Attack CLK63 AMG Black Series (the name just keeps getting larger, I swear). Expect more developments with this insanely epic rocket-sled in the coming days! And we’d better see you all at Friday Night Lights, Friday night at the O’Hare Aerospace Lot, 9950 W. Lawrence in Schiller Park. All are welcome to attend!
