As time inevitably marches forward, things will inevitably age. In the 21st century, we have Botox and rhinoplasty and various creams and surgeries designed to reverse the effects of aging. Thankfully, it’s a bit easier with cars. In lieu of shooting up our cars with botulism (seriously, people do this to their faces!), a fresh coat of paint and some new body panels can make even the oldest whip look young and full of vitality. That’s exactly what we did for our good friend Jackie Chan’s Nissan 240.

When he dropped the car off with us, its panels had seen better days. As you can tell from the pictures above, some panels were losing paint by the bucketful, the clearcoat had started cracking, and it looked like it was about ready to head to that great car graveyard in the sky.

However, if there’s one person that can remedy this situation, it would be our in-house superhero, Luci. We handed him the keys and asked him to bring Lazarus back from the dead. With a little help from a new set of bumpers and front fenders, he did just that. Sadly, the 240 disappeared with incredible stealthiness, so we were unable to snap the final shots. Thankfully, AJ of Ill Photography happens to be one hell of a photographer (and a friend of ours and Jackie Chan’s) and put together a night shot of Luci’s finished product.

The shoot, according to AJ, was “nothing too special, but they’ll do. I’m kinda bummed that we didn’t get to shoot it during the day, the flashes drowned out the pearl in the paint.” However, these pictures do more than a good job in showcasing Luci’s painting prowess. The car looks great, and we’re extremely happy with the end result.
