Today, space is of the utmost priority. But not the space you’re thinking of, with satellites and basketball-playing aliens and all that stuff. No, we’re talking about wheel spacing.
Ever since the Porsche wheels returned with their 1.5″ wider stance, AJ and Eastway have been hard at work crafting a set of spacers for the wheels. “But they’re already an inch and a half wider,” you might say. Well, the wheel was widened towards the inside, meaning there isn’t some sort of intense deep-dish look to the rims (at least from the angle they’re viewed on the car), but the wheels still retain their widened stance and all the benefits that go with it. In order to bring the lip of the rim flush with the body panels, we had to craft some spacers. And after plenty of designing and cutting of aluminum (aluminium for all those across the pond), we believe we’ve found the spacer of best fit. Here it is, in its 20 millimeters of shiny glory:
And here are some very tentative fitment shots. You can see the lip of the rim just touching the edge of the body, maintaining that flush look that has taken the automotive aftermarket scene by storm over the last few years. In the last shot, you can see our spacer in action, happily sandwiched between wheel and hub:
