23 May Maserati Monday
After a brief hiccup with our host over the weekend, we’re back!
Last week, Hugh brought in his 2007 Maserati Quattroporte for its mandated service. The Quattroporte isn’t exactly seen on the street every day, so it was more than deserving of a few shots, and here they are:
This specific Quattroporte had one of the more well-maintained interiors of any car that’s come into Fluid. Of course, we cleaned the interior out again once the work was finished, as we do with every car, but this is how it looked when it came in:
Maserati/Ferrari have really turned their F1 transmission into a completely simple driver experience. This is the only gearshift in the car:
And this is quite possibly one of the most picturesque gauge clusters of any production car. Everything’s laid out with great attention paid to symmetry, and the color scheme is pretty damn appealing, as well:
And as it should be with a Maserati, there are tridents everywhere. Everywhere.
Many thanks again to Hugh from driving all the way out here from downtown Chicago to get this work done!
